The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled
Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team includes the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
With 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.
That’s why, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where peaceful solutions are rare.
Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might look mismatched, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
First, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a violent initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering the hidden lair, attacking the rogue, and taking all the powerful objects to sell off.
Casimir then paid off his debts and escaped to a fortified location in the remote area, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks vengeance.
- Kattigan is familiar with the region and cautions that it is a nasty place.
- The warrior and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to kill the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
- However, their reputation as important members in House Halovar could assist the team enter locations they usually can’t.
- Additionally, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are sought by the powers that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are known criminals.
- The warrior and The cleric defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are allied with.

This leaves them no alternative but to journey toward the northern region in search of Casimir.
