A two-month voyage through the Land Down Under has been cancelled days after the death of an older female passenger who was abandoned by the cruise liner on a isolated coastal location.

The passenger had been walking on Lizard Island with other travelers from the cruise ship, but parted ways from the party for a pause. The vessel departed without her and came back several hours later after the ship staff realised the woman was unaccounted for.

A major search operation located her body the subsequent day.

Investigative bodies are looking into the incident, together with law enforcement and the state coroner.

Chief Executive of the voyage organizer stated that guests and personnel on the vessel were notified that the rest of the journey had been terminated due to the "unfortunate death and prior engine troubles".
